All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Safety Kit for your Car

You’ve probably heard about the importance of traveling with a safety kit in your car. And perhaps you’ve even thought about making one. But what do you even put in a safety kit? Well, get out a pen or paper (or simply print this article) for an idea of where you should start.

Car Necessities

It’d be wonderful if your car could run forever without any problems. But that’s simply not the case. In order to prevent against complications should your car break down while you’re driving in it, make sure to include a gallon of antifreeze, at least two quarts of oil, a gallon of water (to cool the engine), a couple of roadside flares, and some jumper cables in your car. Also be sure that your car has a spare tire, a jack, and a tire inflator.

Personal Safety

In the event of a breakdown, you need to ensure that you and your fellow passengers are safe. To make sure this is the case, pack your safety kit with a flashlight, at least one warm blanket, some granola bars, and a couple bottles of water. Also try your best to always travel with a cell phone so that you can contact emergency services if the need arises.

First Aid

If you suffer an accident and there are injuries among those involved, you must have the proper materials. Make sure your car has a standard first aid kit, complete with bandages, gauze, antiseptic, and adhesive tape.
